Terms of Service

Effective date: January 1, 2025

Welcome to tinyu ("we", "our", or "us"). By accessing or using tinyu.us (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.

1. Who Can Use tinyu

You must be at least 13 years old to use tinyu. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this age requirement. The Service is intended for personal and commercial use in compliance with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction, including those in the United States, European Union, United Kingdom, and Australia.

2. What tinyu Provides

tinyu offers two core features at no cost:

  • URL shortening — convert long URLs into short tinyu.us/… links.
  • Link-in-bio pages — build a public profile page hosting multiple links.

Both features include basic click analytics (total clicks and referrer sources). We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Shorten or host URLs that link to illegal content, malware, phishing pages, or spam.
  • Distribute content that is hateful, abusive, defamatory, or harassing.
  • Infringe any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the Service.
  • Use automated scripts to bulk-create links without prior written permission.
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation, including GDPR, CCPA, or the Australian Privacy Act.

We reserve the right to remove any link or bio page and block access to any user who violates these rules, without prior notice.

4. No Account Required — Your Responsibility

tinyu does not require account registration. Access to edit your bio page or view analytics is granted via a unique owner token stored in your browser's local storage. You are solely responsible for keeping this access. We cannot recover it if you clear your browser data or switch devices.

5. Links and Content

You retain ownership of any content you create or links you shorten using the Service. By using tinyu you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, and transmit your content solely to operate the Service.

We do not endorse, monitor, or take responsibility for the destination of any shortened URL or the content on any bio page. If you believe a link or page violates these Terms or is harmful, please report it to support@tinyu.us.

6. Analytics Data

tinyu collects aggregated, anonymised click data (total clicks and referrer domain) for each link. This data is accessible to the link owner via the analytics URL provided at creation. We do not collect or store personally identifiable information about visitors who click your links.

7. Intellectual Property

The tinyu name, logo, and all software powering the Service are owned by tinyu and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our express written consent.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Use the Service at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, tinyu shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, revenue, or profits — arising out of your use or inability to use the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed USD $10.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Delaware for any disputes arising under these Terms.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, United Kingdom, or Australia, you may also have rights under your local consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded by these Terms.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
